Furniture Construction

Locally Sourced

Each piece starts with Eastern White Pine, responsibly sourced from local mills. Mennonite artisans hand-cut and shape every board before it spends six weeks in a local kiln. A process that enhances its durability and reveals the subtle beauty of the grain. This union of traditional craftsmanship and natural materials creates heirloom-quality furniture that’s both enduring and comfortably lived-in.

Handcrafted

Once the wood is ready, each piece is built by hand in our workshop. From the first cut to the final coat, every joint, edge, and surface is carefully shaped to highlight the wood’s natural beauty. No two pieces are ever exactly alike. Every creation reflects our commitment to craftsmanship and is built to become a cherished heirloom for generations to come.

Finished Naturally

Our premium finish is made from renewable materials like soybean, sunflower, and thistle oil, combined with carnauba and candelilla wax. Made in Germany to strict European standards, it’s durable, water-repellent, and safe for humans, animals, and plants. Resistant to stains and easy to refresh without sanding, the finish enhances the wood’s depth and warmth while protecting it for everyday life.

Furniture Care

Cleaning

Built to last, each piece only needs simple, thoughtful care. Sweep or vacuum regularly, then wipe with a lightly dampened cloth and a mild, wood-safe cleaner. When it needs a little extra attention, use a quality liquid wax cleaner to restore and protect the finish, then polish for a soft, refined sheen.

Pet Care

Regularly trim your dog’s nails to help prevent scratches on the wood surface. Wipe up any accidents or spills promptly to avoid stains and protect the finish. Over time, small scuffs or marks from your dog’s daily life may naturally appear. These add to the character and patina of the piece, reflecting a home well loved and well lived in.

Protect Your Piece

A little care goes a long way. Use felt pads under legs if placing your piece on hardwood flooring, and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to preserve the wood’s natural tone. Keep your furniture in a stable environment, away from extreme heat, cold, or humidity.

Drying

Let air dry fully. Do not tumble dry, iron or dry clean our covers. Despite being hard wearing and machine washable, we do recommend buying a spare cover so that your dog is never left without their bed.

In Between Washes

In order to best preserve the great look and feel of our beds, we also recommend light vacuuming in order to remove any dirt and fur particles.
