  • Every finish tells a story of craftsmanship and care. Our curated stains are selected to enrich the natural elegance of Eastern White Pine, revealing the subtle grain and depth that make each piece one of a kind. Hand-applied and sealed with a silky, durable finish, these tones bring warmth, sophistication, and timeless beauty to your home.

    • Based on renewable materials: Soybean, sunflower, thistle oil, carnauba and candelilla wax.

    • High solid content: 2-3 times the coverage of conventional wood finishes.

    • Durability: Extremely hard-wearing - will not crack, flake or peel.

    • Water repellent: Suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, and other rooms exposed to high humidity

    • Spot repairable: Can be refreshed without requiring sanding

    • Stain resistant: Resists wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk and water

    • Safe for humans, animals, and plants.

    • Made in Germany: Adheres to strict German and European quality standards.

     Full Care Instructions

       Your piece is crafted to last and deserves thoughtful care:

    • Routine cleaning: Sweep or vacuum regularly to prevent dirt from settling.

    • Gentle wash: Use a damp (never wet) mop with a mild, wood-safe cleaner for everyday upkeep.

    • Deeper refresh: When the surface needs extra attention, apply a quality liquid wax cleaner to restore and protect the finish.

    • For added sheen: Once the surface is fully dry, apply a thin layer of wax cleaner and polish to achieve a refined gloss.

  • Our furniture is proudly made right here in Canada, in London, Ontario. Each piece is designed and handcrafted by Mark using locally sourced wood, ensuring quality, durability, and a personal touch in every build.

  • We use locally sourced, high-quality, pet-safe Eastern White Pine wood, chosen for its durability and natural beauty. Each piece is cut by Mennonite craftsmen using time-honoured methods, then kiln-dried locally to preserve the integrity of the wood and highlight its natural character.

  • We do our best to ensure the colours you see online are as true-to-life as possible. However, due to variations in lighting, individual screen settings, and the natural characteristics of real wood and finishes, the piece you receive may appear slightly different in person than it does on your device.

    • Measure your dog from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail (length) and from the floor to the top of the head or ears (height while sitting).

    • Add 2 to 4 inches to each measurement to ensure comfort.

    • Consider your dog’s sleeping style. If they curl up, they may prefer a cozier fit. If they stretch out, allow for extra space.

  • At this time, furniture delivery is available within Southern Ontario, with additional charges for locations more than 4 hours from London, Ontario.

  • Every piece is made to order, built with intention and attention to detail. Your new furniture will be ready in about 3–6 weeks.

    • White Glove Delivery & Inspection: At Mark Karens, our White Glove Delivery service is designed to ensure your custom piece arrives safely and with care and it will be delivered right to the room of your choice, including unpacking, assembly, and garbage removal. 

    • Local Pickup: Local pickup is available upon request at our London, ON Stockroom. Once you have received notification that your order is ready, you’ll be prompted to contact our service care team to arrange a local pick time and date.

    • Additional charges: May apply for deliveries to locations classified as isolated or rural by our trusted carriers. Our team will contact you if additional shipping charges apply to your order.

    Please review the following requirements before booking White Glove Delivery:

    • Customer Presence Required: When you select White Glove Delivery, someone must be present at the time of delivery. If no one is home, your order will be left at the door and Mark Karens is not responsible for loss or damage once delivered.

    • Doorway & Entry Responsibility: If your piece does not fit through your doorway, it is the customer’s responsibility to make accommodations. This may include removing doors or taking other steps to ensure the piece can be brought inside.

    • Product Specifications: All product dimensions are provided on our website. It is the customer’s responsibility to measure and confirm that the piece will fit through their entryway, hallways, or intended space before ordering.

    • Signing Off On Delivery: When we arrive, you’ll have the chance to look everything over to make sure it’s just right. Once you’ve signed to confirm it was delivered in good condition, the sale is considered final.

  • All Mark Karens furniture is made to order in our London, Ontario workshop. We do have a small showroom that can be visited by appointment. While we don’t carry ready-to-ship inventory, you’re welcome to book a visit to see select pieces in person and explore our materials and finishes.

  • Each piece is built to order in our Ontario workshop, typically ready within 3–6 weeks depending on order volume. We’ll notify you as soon as it’s ready to schedule delivery.

    • Shipping Fees : All furniture orders are subject to a $179 shipping fee with the exception of local pickups.

    • Delivery Area:

      Now Shipping Across Southern Ontario. Additional charges may apply for deliveries to locations more than 4 hours from London, Ontario.

    • Delivery Time:

      • Furniture: Delivery ranges from 3-6 weeks.

      • Multiple shipments: Orders with multiple items may require more than 1 delivery. We do our best to consolidate items to provide the best delivery experience.

Policies:

  • Because each piece is made to order, cancellations within 48 hours of purchase will incur a $100 fee. After 48 hours, cancellations are not accepted.

  • We offer a 1-year warranty on all our furniture, covering manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship. If a claim is approved, we will determine if a part or full replacement is necessary. The warranty does not cover wear, damage, or discolouration from regular use, inadequate maintenance, or accidents. Natural variations in colour and texture are not considered defects. Extreme temperature and humidity changes can cause wood products to split or crack, which is not covered. 

  • Because each piece is made to order, changes can only be made within 48 hours of purchase. After that point, production begins and we’re unable to accommodate modifications.
